Very Late.. Vector Portrait!

Since we started on making portraits with vectors and getting an idea on what we are doing with it, I decided to look around at vectors. Some of these are really cool! From geometric shapes to lots of curves and weird lines to make a human!

I thought the way the artist made his portrait was very interesting. He used what seems to be hundreds of triangles instead of many of the others I found which used curved lines and different shapes. I like how he used a geometric shape to somehow create an organic creature. Each triangle has its own color as well. I think I'll use a method like this on a vector portrait!

Sorry for late publish :(

  1. I find this post very interesting because her eyes are two different colors which makes wonder if her eyes are different colors in real life, or if the artist is just wanting to add different color

  2. This vector image is very interesting to me as I am doing one in class right now. Its interesting how every artist has a different view on things and a different creative mind. Very interesting love it!!

  4. I like this image a lot because of the eyes. The eyes are really striking to me considering they're bi-colored but not only that, the one is a very bright and sharp green compared to the darker and muted blue color. I like the contrast that one eye has against the entirety of the whole image itself.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
