This tattoo artist is well known for his glitch tattoos, I like how glitch is usually something seen as a bad thing but this artist knows how to make people appreciate the art of glitch. Pieces like this are a huge inspiration for my concentration, as you probably know I manipulate my pieces using the scanner. Its like this artist distorts his images in the scanner and then tattoos them to add a really unique effect, I really love it.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. These tattoos are very cool! I like how it gives it that distorted look very creative one of a kind pieces.
ReplyDeleteI personally love looking at tattoos and what creative ideas that the artists and the receivers can come up with and these are definitely up there with some of the coolest I've seen. Glitches have always been seen as a bad thing, like you said in your post, but this artist has definitely a found a way to make people admire something originally seen as something really bad. Really neat technique.
