You're all probably familiar with Banksy, so here's artist ABVH who takes Banksy's graffiti and turns it into animations. I love how the artist stays true to the original graffiti, but also adds their own twist and creative vision to the piece, expanding on the story Banksy has already started to create. You can find more of the pieces here.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. This is so cool! I really like how ABVH doesn't detract from Banksy's work at all when he adds the animation, but instead adds a more playful vibe to the artwork!
ReplyDeleteThat's so interesting! The artwork is already so creative to begin with, and seeing the animation just really brings it to life, almost literally!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic. Banksy is one of my favorites, seeing his work come to life is really great.
ReplyDeleteI love how ABVH took the graffiti a step further and interpreted it as an animation that can bring the photo to life. Such a unique idea.
ReplyDeleteI this so interesting! First off I love how Banksy uses the surroundings around him to incorporate his art into. Secondly, the animations are so life like! I absolutely LOVE this!
