This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. A collection of inspiration...
I adore this, the idea is simple but so clever. And the execution and technique is so amazing, and it helps to see the different levels of how the artist progressed on the piece.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting how the artist used a lady as the waves and how the waves progress through out the ocean. I think that this technique makes the illustration more interesting.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great example of surrealism and gives me a certain sense of how the woman could reprsent mother nature and on a side not this makes me think of the little mermaid
ReplyDeleteI like how you can see each step to the artist's work. They showed you hoe they did it and what they were thinking and in as sense that's more impactful than the actual piece

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful. I love this forced perspective thing going on. her dress really looks like a waterfall and it's really neat how those ships are floating in it.
ReplyDeleteI love how her dress turns into something you don't normally connect a dress to. The colors they used are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think this is beautifully done. And it's strange because I almost love one of the earlier, softer images (in particular the second step that is darker and has more of a hand drawn or sketch feeling) more than the final image. I love that the process was shown.
ReplyDeleteI really like how it seems to be a simple drawing of a woman in a dress until the ships start to come into focus. Every single step is a piece of art in itself, and I love how the art becomes more and more complex as it progresses.
