Patterns

After changing my concentration idea 87 times I finally decided to stay with one. I'm showing fashion through the seasons and patterns are the focus. These photos shot by Guy Coombes portray what I'm trying to do. There is the illusion that the patterned clothes are blended into the background and I want to include a mix of graphic design, photography and fashion within my pieces.
To present their Autumn/Winter Collection for 2012, ‘Twenty Seven Names‘ instead of holding a big fashion show, they held a Photo Exhibit at an Art Gallery. It was a simple concept but with a strong visual appeal. The model was photographed wearing clothes that blend into an identically patterned background, appearing like an optical illusion, shot by Guy Coombes. #fashion #photography:

  7. I really like how the clothes and background having matching patterns, but a new perspective is brought about with the texture of the clothing.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
