I love the creativity of this light graffiti piece. The idea that the paintbrush can be used for more than paint, but to spread light is pretty fascinating to me. It shows that an object can be used for multiple uses, and to create such an interesting and thought provoking piece of art.

  1. I agree Raggy, This is very cool! I didn't really even realize it was a light graffiti piece until i read your comment! Would like to see this in different colors!

  2. I really like this! It's like a mix between forced perspective and light graffiti.

  3. Deeper meaning. T Hicks would be proud of your thoughts on the piece. I think that it could have turned out even cooler if the artist put light onto the paintbrush in a different way so the exposed pink looked like the main source of lighting. The paint brush looks like it was pasted onto the image but I still really like the image.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
