This is actually an image that I found on Mrs. Shield's Pinterest for AP DMA concentration ideas. It stuck out to me because of how beautiful it was. The angle of her face isn't a generic view and that makes the image stick out. The deep shading of her face brings out her sharp features and the less dramatic hair shading brings out a sort of contrast that is very appealing to me. The hair is made up of simple lines yet it looks extremely complicated an detailed. Someday, I would like to get to this level of drawing.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. I really like how the hair flows and how it is a big part of the art.
ReplyDeleteI really like this. I like how they left it unfinished and didn't include her whole body

ReplyDeleteThe shading in this piece is amazing. I love the light and dark contrast in her face along with the different designs in her hair.
