some sketches I've done for this project... They are not the best but are some starting ideas.

This is actually an image that I found on Mrs. Shield's Pinterest for AP DMA concentration ideas. It stuck out to me because of how beautiful it was. The angle of her face isn't a generic view and that makes the image stick out. The deep shading of her face brings out her sharp features and the less dramatic hair shading brings out a sort of contrast that is very appealing to me. The hair is made up of simple lines yet it looks extremely complicated an detailed. Someday, I would like to get to this level of drawing.
Hey guys! I think these are so cool! they are pictures that are made up of layers of wire to make these portraits. I think it is so interesting how all these little wires come together to make a picture. It's crazy to think how long it could take due to the complexity of each piece. Hope you like! http://www.thisiscolossal.com/2012/04/ephemeral-portraits-cut-from-layers-of-wire-mesh-by-seung-mo-park/
Being apart of Bpa has been enjoyable, stressful but ultimately rewarding. Im proud of all of my fellow classmates. Congratulations!

BPA

Congrats on everyone on BPA you all did great!!! here is a little inspiration for all of you. its a picture of the sunrise over california!! i know you can do it!

"Healing Wreaths"

I found these designs of "Healing Wreaths" while scrolling through Tumblr. I only saw one, and then the link to the artist was below and went to a whole series of different themed wreaths. The designs are floral, dainty, and calming. Check them out!  Katie Vernon

A Picture with a Story

I think this picture is really interesting. I like how the angle lets the buildings on the sides frame the Statue of Liberty. This picture was taken back in 1884, before the Eiffel Tower was created. This picture has a story and I really enjoy picture like that.

Pour Sisters Bakery

So, this is the logo to my mom's bakery. Most of you may not know, but my mom owns her own bakery. I have recently made a wed site or my mom, so she can promote her business more. If you would like to take a look at it here is the link,   http://clkloeker10.wix.com/poursistersbakery .

3D Awesome

This is so amazing. It looks like real life, and the best thing is, it's all done on a computer from scratch. Created using Maya, Mudbox, Vray, and Knald by Dan Roarty. This is just amazing what we can do with computers compared to what we were able to do like 10 years ago.

Cry Me An Ocean

I came across this picture while "Pinteresting" and it immediately caught my eye. The contrast between color and blank space really makes this piece special. In my opinion the picture represents just how deep her sorrow is (hence the whale). The fact that it looks hand drawn but also some what Photoshoped is really appealing. But the main reason I like this piece is because anyone can stare at it long enough and connect with it, because I'm sure everyone has cried hard enough and for so long that you feel like you've cried an ocean.  ~Mackenzie

Hary Potr

Hey losers. I thought that these poster designs for Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix were very creative. I love the flowers and the color schemes. It's very different than the actual Harry potter posters. Anyway hey here they are.

Web Design

For BPA, my group and I have chosen to do web design. Its a lot of work but hopefully it will be worth it. This picture is par of our logo design
I really like this artwork because it's so symbolic. The hand could be viewed many different ways. The way I first saw it was the hand reaching into nature. However it could also be seen as a higher power or creator looking through himself at the nature he's created. The use of mixing nature and the human body is so fascinating.

Back to the Future

Poster art is the best! It's even better when its done correctly too! Back to the Future was released in 1985 and still has art that relates to today. The painted poster art was done by Drew Struzan. I like the bright colors and how detailed Struzan made the poster. He also was asked to do the poster for Part II & Part III.

Cool Creative Video

I really like how this music video used a montage of lots of photos to make it look like it was filmed. I can't imagine how long this took to film.

Paint Your Own Path

I like the idea of this photo of not only following our own path but also creating it as you go through life.
Burning Man 2014 “Caravansary” arts and music festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada I would love of loved to attend this.  Looks like a beautiful way to celebrate music.

pixel sorting

Giacomo Carmagnola church fire i like the look of pixel sorting, although i have no clue how to do it it makes the fire seem so much more vibrant, and more modern / handmade rather than a natural looking fire
I really like the composition of this photo, i found the sun flare and the deep blue background to be very interesting.

The Woods

Hey guys! So earlier today I saw "Into the Woods" (great movie by the way!). The movie had so many incredible special effects and everything about it reminded me of DMA. I have noticed since joining the class that I pay a lot more attention (especially in action packed movies) to special effects and realize how long it must've taken to make the movies. Even some movie posters including this one are fascinating because just the font alone is somehow related to the movie. It's incredible to think that I could actually have the capability of making something like that!
I think body artists are incredibly talented, it adds a nonrealistic touch to the human body, that i think is cool to look at.  Some of these almost is hard to tell its a person, in my opinion this is a sign of a great artist.  If anyone's interested in this as well and wants to see more, the first link is more of the tattoo parlor vibe, and the second is just purely amazing art.   http://laughingsquid.com/delightful-and-macabre-body-art-by-lara-hawker/ http://www.boredpanda.com/amazing-animal-body-art/

Phillipe Halsman

Good morning everyone. This is the work of Phillipe Halsman, a photographer born in the early 1900's. He's one of my favorite artists, many of his pictures are hanging in my room. His photographs are surreal, which is partially due to the fact that he spent a lot of time working with Dali. Some of his pictures are composited, which I find quite impressive due to the period in which his work took place. Halsman worked with many other icons other than Dali, including Marilyn Monroe, Alfred Hitchcock, and Audrey Hepburn. I apologize for weird spacing because of picture sizes okay Goodbye.
I like this picture because i love chocolate and it shows how excited these heads get when they see some. It looks like it was photo-shopped purrrty gooooood and now im craving some chocolate.

Sos friends & family.

Ok, so you ever feel super passionate about something and you wanna scream it to the whole world but you're like really lame and have no friends and so like no one listens lol... me. ANYWAYS. So, my favorite band; Front Porch Step, is supposed to play at warped tour & they just recently were taken out of the line up for some allegations towards them, but honestly, thats neither here nor there, so what I'm asking is, DMA family, can you PLEASE sign this petition to keep Front Porch Step in the Warped tour line up. You can read more and sign here --  https://www.change.org/p/vans- warped-tour-kevin-lyman-keep- front-porch-step-on-warped- tour-2015?just_created=true Thanks fam, love youuuuuuuuuuuuuu guyzzz. xoxox -  Ky Gay
This picture really caught my eye. The floral design and the beauty of this photo is very intriguing.
I love the perspective of this image. It gives the picture almost like a snow globe kinda feel.
I thought this picture was very interesting and beautiful.

Creative Commons Music

I'm doing a video editing project for BPA, so I've really been needing to find some music that I can have legally use that won't cost me a decade's income. Thus, Incompetech! As long as you give proper credit (via the "Music Licenses" tab), all the music on this site can be used for free!!! (link)
