Nine inch nails has shocked me. I would never have thought anybody who makes music like this would make it into the Rock and Roll hall of fame 30 years ago but they've done it. Nine Inch Nails, lead by Trent Reznor and built up from the ground by this same man has served as a changing point in music. There is nothing like it out there. Their music is phenomenally weird and stirs something in you that can only be described as a tingling sensation of eeriness. For anyone who hasn't ever listened to Nine Inch Nails, I would recommend listening to the entire Pretty Hate Machine album.
