Instagram recently came out with a new update for the photo sharing platform that left many people upset and confused. Like the saying "don't fix something that isn't broke", many people had strong feelings against the new layout, saying that it made the app hard to navigate. Instagram like Snapchat seems to not ever get a good response whenever massive changes to the site are made.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I feel like people don't like it because who uses Instagram as their main shopping platform/site? Not only that but the shopping center replaced the most used functions on Instagram in terms of their placement in the Instagram layout. If the two switched places I'm sure they wouldn't have received such negative feedback.
ReplyDeletei think the overwhelming capitalistic society we are in right now is changing how simple things like apps mainly for sharing photos with friends and family function into a business site and honestly, while i don't mind it that much I can see why people are upset.
ReplyDeletetbh i hate this update
ReplyDeleteYeah this update is not it. I hate how their trying to mesh it with aspects from tik tok and shopping apps. Super dumb in my opinion.
