My brother, Isaac, recently took an intern position at an architecture firm in L.A. called OFFICEUNTITLED. The office itself is stationed in Culver City, Los Angeles, where quite a few of the old MGM sound stages for films were built. Even after looking at the building itself, one can see that OFFICEUNTITLED is a very modernist firm (Picture 1). Most of their work pertains to living arrangements: hotels, lodges, cabins, etc.. I think their work accurately depicts the direction our nation is moving in terms of architecture, and I am excited to see more work from them (and my brother).
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. These buildings are dope, I really enjoy that spiral-looking building in the top right. It's crazy to think where modern architecture/technology can take us today.
