End of the Road

If the only thing anyone reads about this post is the first line I just want to say that honestly the only reason I survived AP DMA was because of Mickey Kruse and Chris Stock. There, I said it.

OK but otherwise, thank you to both my teachers for giving me the opportunity to enter in so many competitions (WORD TO THE WISE: enter in all competitions you can. There are no losers, just people that don't qualify. And you won't know unless you try. Trust me on this one.)

Uhm... I'm not really sure what else there is to say. Use any means necessary to get projects turned in on time (setting a bad example rn), bring headphones, don't forget cameras at home, trust your gut and go with your instincts on projects, and it's really not as hard and grueling as you think it is. If you've survived this long in school, you can do this.

Oh right here's a preview of things to come. Y'all'll be fine I promise.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
