Rain Barrel

Every year the Cincinnati Zoo teams up with SaveLocalWaters to raise money for water conservation. The zoo reviews and accepts submissions from local artists to paint rain barrels to be auctioned off. This project is a way to educate the public and raise money. I decided to contribute a barrel this year because my submission was accepted! I attached pictures of my (almost) finished barrel and also the link to the Save Local Waters website. I highly recommend submitting a design in the years following. There is an awesome group of people in charge of the barrels and it's for a great cause. I hope you enjoy!

The rain barrels will be on display at the Cincinnati zoo starting March 31st and the auction will be online April 9th and 19th.

  1. I have heard about this project at the zoo before and think it is such a cool idea, it is even cooler that your entering in a barrel. At first I thought you were using an example as your picture but now I realize that that is yours! Your barrel is awesome and it will go for a lot of money for sure.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Bye For Now DMA

Well since I'm a senior, then this is probably going to be my last blog post. Next year, I am going to do the Digital Design program at the Warren County Career Center for college credit, so I'm still going to do some DMA stuff after graduation. It's been very cool to be making cool stuff here and I'll miss you guys and I know your going to miss me and my dog Max.
