Just Breathe

This is and oil on canvas done by Samantha French. What I love most about this piece is the way the artist uses the refection of the water to create a very interesting composition that makes you want to continue to stare.

  1. I love all the warm colors used even though she's underwater. It adds a warmth and makes me miss the summer time.

  2. The artist did an amazing job at making it look really realistic, especially when working with water. At first glance I thought it was a photograph taken from underwater, I love the light splayed on her skin and how she's half submerged.

  3. Such an interesting, colorful piece. The detail is incredible, I almost thought that this was the actual photo.

  4. This is an amazing piece, I love the contrast between the warm and cool colors. Although it would take some work, ! could see this being transformed into an illustrator piece!

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Malena Bozzini         Malena Bozzini is a sophomore college student studying psychology. As her passion she is an artist. Her work is so original and abstract in order to dramatize her figures. She creates art out of emotion and uses her feelings to choose color and shape. One of the most interesting facts is that all of her pieces are done with colored pencils. Her art is so expressive that each piece gives out its own vibe. What makes her art unique is that it is inspired by motion and gestures. It is amazing how she developed such a style at such a young age.  Instagram @ malenabozzini
