Food Photography

Hellooo...
I've been looking at a lot of food photography lately for the BPA photography virtual event. I noticed it's really interesting if there's bright colors, along with texture whether it's on the food or in the background. In these I really like the pops of color with the contrast of the wood background.

  1. I appreciate all the staging that went into this composition. Food photography is a lot more about the staging then the actual food, it's inspiring.

  2. I agree I really appreciate how each piece of fruit or berry is specifically staged to go into the overall composition. They are very pleasing to look at.

  4. I'm absolutely lovin' the one of the blueberries. I like how they used a cool filter on the picture to go along with the color of the food and the light wood makes the berries look almost as if they're frosted and cold. I can dig it.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Malena Bozzini         Malena Bozzini is a sophomore college student studying psychology. As her passion she is an artist. Her work is so original and abstract in order to dramatize her figures. She creates art out of emotion and uses her feelings to choose color and shape. One of the most interesting facts is that all of her pieces are done with colored pencils. Her art is so expressive that each piece gives out its own vibe. What makes her art unique is that it is inspired by motion and gestures. It is amazing how she developed such a style at such a young age.  Instagram @ malenabozzini

Mad Max: Fury Road - Storyboard to Screen

One of my favorite films is Mad Max: Fury Road. There is practically no dialogue in the entire movie, so when George Miller sat down to write the film, he decided that it would be better to hire a team of people to storyboard his vision. Script to Screen is a Twitter page that compares the film to its screenplay, but here the storyboards from Fury Road are compared to the scenes, and it is so fascinating to watch.
