Hello internet individuals! So as of lately I've started to become obsessed with Shadow Art! These are just some examples of using objects to create a shadow of something totally different. I really like the subtle symbolism behind the pictures and how ugly something can be but make a beautiful shadow like in the second one.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I think its cool how the photographer used the peoples shadows then took other props to go off from the shadows.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool!!!! I love this!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the two people and the wine glass. I like the contrast of not so classy and classy.
ReplyDeleteI like the shadow art of the pile of trash because it shows how art can be found in everything.
ReplyDeleteThe second image is by far my favorite. The way that the artist didn't just manage to block out the simple image but to also get the fine details amazes me.
ReplyDeleteThe first picture is my favorite because takes bits and pieces and transforms it into a whole being. The shadow of the human appears to be moving and forming into one shape.
ReplyDeleteall of these pictures are super cool! my favorite picture of the three is the first one! the first thing that came into my mind was how long did that take to get it perfect, but no matter how long it took it was worth it! :)
ReplyDeleteShadow art really amazes me! The second one out of these three is definitely my favorite, you can tell that the artist must have took so much time on individual details. Even the shoe laces on the shadow look like they're real!
