This is my last blog post of Junior year, and DMA 1. I have enjoyed this class so much and my favorite project has been digital painting. I love to create digital paintings because they aren't challenging and it's pretty mindless. Next year I have signed up for APDMA and I'm very excited to continue to create more digital pieces and work. If I could give advice to anyone who's taking DMA 1 next year I would say, put effort into every project. This might sound generic, but even projects that you aren't particularly excited to create should be done with effort. At the end of the year when you create a portfolio, you want something that accurately reflects your skill level and showcases all of the work you put in through the year.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I hope you had a wonderful year and found something that you love.
