Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion that ran from 2006 to 2008 and follows the story of Lelouch Lamperouge. I had started watching the show around a year ago and finished it over the course of said year. My first viewing was extremely positive with few complaints about the show overall. The main character, Lelouch, is one of the most compelling protagonists to date in my opinion. It's been a couple of months since I finished the show and my friend group had expressed interest in watching it together. I took the internet after being reminded of the show to see what other people thought about the show. At first, I found a shocking amount of people expressing their hatred of the show, some claiming the show is the worst example of writing in anime. After watching several videos, positive and negative, I'm ready to reapproach Code Geass and see if it truly holds up. If you have any interest in watching Code Geass, I'd highly recommend NOT looking up anything about the show online, as you have a high risk of having the ending spoiled. The entire show is available on Netflix.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. I've heard this show be mentioned maybe once or twice and heard good things, might check it out.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Code Geass, and I personally really liked it! I can understand why some dislike it, though, given the ending.
