Random Gifs

Personally, I think short gifs are one of the best ways to improve your skill as an animator. They let you work on one small technique or focus at a time rather than throwing many things at you at once. I also find gifs simply fascinating to watch over and over again. Here are some of my favorite gifs that I have collected on my Pinterest board for inspiration.
P.S. I pronounce Gif like "Jif", the way it is supposed to be pronounced!

  1. The otter gif is absolutely adorable!! I've always wanted to do a little animation on a sticky note pad but haven't gotten around to it.

  2. All of these gifs are so fascinating to watch. The more you watch the more details you notice. While I like all of them, my favorite has to be the last gif of the fluffy doggo!

P.S. I'll pronounce it "jif" when "graphic" is pronounced like "giraffe-ic" ;)

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
