I was talking to my friends recently about a story I'd read a while ago, so I'll post it here now!
Melanie Willhide was a photographer whose laptop got stolen. When her computer was found, all her files had been deleted. However, when a file is deleted, it's not completely gone; just corrupted to be rewritten over. When she managed to recover her old photographs, the corruptions in the photos took her creative vision in a whole new direction. She dedicated this series of artwork to the thief, hence the name.

I love how these photographs look. The "glitch art" gives each photo an unique look and composition.
ReplyDeleteI like how the works are so unique and the colors are so well composited.
ReplyDeleteThe story behind is style is so interesting! I like the idea that creative inspiration can come from anywhere in your life.
