Bye everyone :'(

This is my farewell post, this class was my favorite and I'm really sad for it to end, but I'm also really excited for my future. Next year I will be attending DAAP at the University of Cincinnati, Majoring in Communication Design (graphic design) and Minoring in Fine Arts. I'm so grateful for everything Mrs. Shields has done for me and the rest of the AP DMA class.  Honestly not kidding I think she played a big part in me getting into DAAP.
To the upcoming AP DMA class, DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. Seriously I've pulled way too many all nighters for this class, use your time wisely and get your projects done in class. Also start thinking about concentration ideas and if your'e dead set on an idea don't feel bad if it doesn't workout. My first idea was Digital Collage and I tried one concentration of it and decided it wasn't what I wanted to do for a whole year. I'm really glad this happened though because I love my concentration, so get creative and try new things : )

  1. I love you and I'm going to miss you so much! It's really amazing that I got to sit next to you the whole year and watch you blossom into the artist you are now! I'm so excited to see what you do in the future!!!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
