If you have yet to experience the wonders of Bob's Burgers I would highly suggest you watch a few episodes. It is on Netflix, just fyi, and this clip is one of my favorite scenes its from season 3 episode 7. Bob's Burgers art style is what I wanted to talk about, though. I think the clean, rather basic, look to the animation keeps it just weird enough for me to enjoy it without seeming like just another run of the mill series. The artists use stagnant backgrounds with the foreground the only action in the majority of the scenes; which keeps your attention on the dry right in your face humor that most of the characters in the show convey. All in all between the interesting characters and classic animation I think that Bob's Burgers is deserving of one of my favorite series I've seen. Enjoy the clip!
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. o no. I was kinda the same at first too XD almost killed off my dad. But yeah the animation style is interesting, the curvy corners/edges seem typical these days (i.e Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe), and I do wonder what program the artist used to make this. Doesn't look like a traditional animation, but I could be wrong. I rarely watch the show. XD
