Do you have questions about studying the arts in college? How do you put together a portfolio, or prepare for an audition? What high school courses will ready you to major in the arts?
Students in grades 10-12, their parents, and art/music/theatre teachers are invited to a day of arts exploration. Join faculty, staff, and students in Architecture+Interior Design,Art, Music, Theatre, and Interactive Media Studies in a day dedicated to helping YOU discover the arts at Miami!
Throughout the day, you’ll find answers to questions such as:
- Are there internships in the arts at Miami University?
- To major in art or design, what makes a good portfolio for admission?
- What exactly is an audition interview for theatre?
- Why do I need a portfolio for architecture or interior design, and what should I include in it?
- Why study music at Miami, and when should I audition?
- What do Miami’s creative arts graduates do after college?
Representatives from the Office of Admission and Office of Financial Assistance will provide information and be available to field your questions.
Over 450 people joined us for Arts Day activities last year. This year promises to be even better! The day will start you thinking about the possibilities!
