Things aren't always what they appear to be

This picture made me think of the activity we did on the first day of school when we made objects into things they aren't made for.

Photoshop Restoration

I think it would be awesome to actually experiment with this type of stuff. Just having a photo that you thought was torn forever can actually be fixed amazes me. If you want to see more just search Photoshop Restoration Photo on YouTube.

This animation is sick

This gem is a 37 second animation of Justin Bieber eating cake. The animation is really fluid and fun to watch. Check out the rest of RedMinus's youtube channel  here.

Time Lapse

This video was just released a few days ago. As the title suggests, it's a time lapse of the Dubai International Airport. The dynamic of the changing background really stuck out to me. The idea of it being a "little planet" is also very interesting. You can even see it has its own moon.

Body Art

I decided to type in body art and found a lot of interesting pictures.  I was really fascinated by the last picture representing so many subjects. Its amazing how you can show off art in so many ways. The bright colors and detailed art is what stopped me.

The Female Gaze by Petra Collins

The Female Gaze 2013 Petra Collins http://www.petracollins.com/ I really like the concept of following one person throughout a single concentration, especially this particular series - focussing on simple moments - capturing the things she focuses in on throughout the photoset.

When your heart grows cold - Marie Esther

I love this picture because it is very simplistic but the rawness and hope in this picture makes it even more beautiful.

Cool Scanography

I really like this scanography piece. I think it's interesting to look at composition wise, and I like how the marbles look lie they're floating!

Dreamy Digital Art

I found this interesting concept on Pinterest and it reminded me of the first week when we made different items become something else. In this case the hot air balloon is being formed into a dandelion blowing in the wind.
Hey guys! So for our first assignment for AP DMA (whoop whoop) is scannography. These are 2 examples i found on tumblr.com. One goes with a very natural look and the other with a glitchy look. Cool stuff!

Essentials

I really like this picture, because it's abstract design allows it to be seen in so many different ways. It could be a tree of life with the 4 essentials, earth, water, fire, and air all represented. It could also be a path with a fountain in the center, or anything you see it as.
Scanography Art Scanography is when you use a scanner as a camera and lay things on to it for it take the image. You can move the object you are scanning along with the scanner as is moves forward to scan in order to achieve the glitch like photo!

Welcome to the 2014-2015 School Year!
