Painted Instruments

Here's a really cool violin painted like a skeleton. painting instruments is really cool and this is a great idea.

Still Motion Shots

I think that these shots really use great shutter speed to capture the motion without blurring anything. I found these pictures on tumblr, but couldn't find the exact link! Here are a few more shots.

Macro Lens Photo

Here is a detailed picture of a fly that i took at home with a macro lens. I chose to post this photo because it relates to our last assignment (lens exploration).

My six word memoir

I found this awesome pic on the interwebs.

sweet changes.

I found this picture on one of those cheesy wallpaper apps that we all know we once had when we were babychildren and just got our ipods or iphones . I thought it was a cool usage of photoshop with the reflections.

Old and New

Los Angeles Times photographer Jay Clendenin  spent four weeks leading up to the Olympics traveling around Souther California, taking portraits of athletes on the US Olympic Team. He photographed the athletes using Canon 5D Mark IIs for digital photos, and a 4×5-inch field camera and a 100+-year-old Petzval Lens. When displayed side-by-side, the photos show an interesting contrast between “old” and “new”.

Six Word Memoirs

This week AP DMA is working on six word memoirs check out  this  website promoting Six word memoirs on twitter until the end of the day! It really helped me come up with some great memoirs!

Paris Fashion Week

52 GoPros Used to Create Bullet Time Effect

Check out the rig they made with 52 GoPros.

Random

I took this picture last Saturday, did you see what's in it??
I found this picture really interesting, I couldn't figure out if the artist was using this as a model? Or even a sculpture? I like how the hand is the main focus of this building, and how the artist didn't just leave the background alone you can see that he blurred the trees.

The World Through a Fish's Eye

This lovely picture was taken by Randy Scott Slavin. I love how Fish Eye distorts lines and causes everything to have a curve. Fish Eye, in my opinion, looks great when taking pictures of building because they are made of mostly straight lines. I think it is very neat how Randy edited the pictures he took of many buildings and made it into a 360 degree image.

Diablo 3 Art work

Here are a couple of pictures of art work from a game I play on the xbox, which originally came out on the PC, called Diablo 3. I really like the texture and detail that they applied to the face on the people during these cutscenes. It makes them look almost real.

Homemade Macro Lens for iPhone

This  is a link to a tutorial about how to make a macro lens for your iPhone using a laser pointer and bobby pin. I tried it out at home and got some cool results.

The Ugly Duckling

This is a short film from Lithuania about two goons that decide to film a video about one of their cars. This video holds no artistic quality except for the exploratory camera angles they use.

Guy Catling

This artist used really simple techniques to incorporate other patterns and textures into his photographs, that turn into really interesting pieces. To look at more of his portfolio, click here.

can't wait for destiny

This is concept art from the game destiny that is suppose to come out next year.  The game is being   made by the game company known as bungie.  Who has make beloved games such the halo series.   The game is about the end of the world.  but humanity isn't surviving in small groups scattered around the earth.  Humanities surviving a giant sphere called the traveller but nobody knows why or how its here or why its giving humanity protection from the dangerous monsters and aliens that have inhabited  everywhere else on earth.  Under the traveller is the last human city that remains.  I can't wait to play the game and find out everything there is to know about the traveller.

Unite for Uganda

Thinking about helping others? Unite for Uganda is a great way to do so.

So much art history

i saw this photo and thought it was a very cool photoshop

Cosplay Photography

Believe it or not, this isn't a screenshot from Pirates of the Caribbean! It's a picture from a cosplay photoshoot, and the talented dA users  merkymerx  and  behindinfinity  star in this photograph.      I love this picture because it looks so professional. Despite being in the woods, the colors are bright and stand out instead of being faded and shadowy. And tilting the camera like this and putting it below eye level makes for a much more interesting shot.

Scott Kikuta Concept Art

http://conceptartworld.com/?p=27736 I was searching for concept artists on google and found a guy by the name of Scott Kikuta. Check some of his concept art out. He did projects for Halo 3. The very first two drawings on the website are my favorite. I love the detail that he put into them especially how industrial and life-like he made them look.
