Hobo Nickels

The altering of coins can be seen as early as the 1850s, but became an art in the year 1913, with the introduction of the buffalo nickel. In the next 77 years following, it would have its own artists, with each generation contributing in their own quiet way to an underground art. I know that the altering of coins is a federal offense (the destruction of government property) but I still find this very interesting, and wouldn't mind trying something like it.

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. Malena Bozzini         Malena Bozzini is a sophomore college student studying psychology. As her passion she is an artist. Her work is so original and abstract in order to dramatize her figures. She creates art out of emotion and uses her feelings to choose color and shape. One of the most interesting facts is that all of her pieces are done with colored pencils. Her art is so expressive that each piece gives out its own vibe. What makes her art unique is that it is inspired by motion and gestures.
