At the end of every year, YouTube posts a video similar to Spotify's "Wrapped". They post a "rewind" of the whole year which contains memorable moments that happened on YouTube throughout the year. Last years rewind (2018) was a huge flop in that it was the most disliked video on the entire platform. This year, YouTube took the feedback from the 2018 rewind and tried to redeem themselves from last year. What they ended up doing is giving the viewers a knock-off Watch Mojo video with a top 10 list for every genre YouTube has to offer. While it probably wasn't as cringy as last years, it was still a huge disappointment among the YouTube fan base.
This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. I thought the video was cool, but lacked the creativity of past years
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what they do with it this year! I always look forward to watching it.
ReplyDeleteI think they should redo it with teenagers sitting next to them the whole time to tell them what they can do better
