The University of Cincinnati has camps during the summer for high school students interested in anything from shoe design to industrial design. There are day camp where you go during the day and then just head home afterwards or there is a residential camp where you stay on campus in the dorms for the whole week. https://daap.uc.edu/community/daap-camps
Today Harry Styles released his new album Fine Line! I have already listened to it all the way through 4 times lol. Personally, my favorite 2 songs are Adore You and Cherry but they're all so good. The music video for Adore You is also so adorable; the concept is so creative and unique! Also, I love what they did with the album cover. This album is amazing everyone should go check it out!
The Game Awards are an event that takes place every year since 2014, hosted by their creator, Geoff Keighley. They take place tomorrow at 8:30pm and Untitled Goose Game is up for Indie Game of the Year. Many new games are teased and announced during The Game Awards and I look foward to it every year.
The x-files is a si-fi television series created by Chris Carter that aired from 1993, to 2002. The series revolves around the FBI's special agents Dana Scully, and Fox Mulder who investigate the x-files, which are unsolved cases that involve the paranormal, with an underlying theme of aliens and the unknown. Mulder is a believer in the paranormal, while Scully is a medical doctor who has been assigned to debunk and rationalize Mulder's theories. Together, the agents will discover that they have become pawns in somethings that is much bigger than them. This is where the famous saying "Trust No One" comes from. For the early 90's, the shows editing was pretty good, but kinda hard to take seriously watching it in 2019, however the show is still worth the watch!
Over the break, I visited Disney World with my family, including the new Star Wars land in Hollywood Studios called “Galaxy’s Edge”. The outpost is titled “Black Spire Outpost”, which does not exist in the Star Wars universe except for being mentioned in Solo: A Star Wars Story . The land features two new rides, “Millennium Falcon- Smugglers Run” and “Rise of the Resistance”. The land also includes many shops, and counter-service food, including “Oga’s Cantina” which has a bar-like atmosphere where you can order strange drinks, including the ‘blue milk’. Overall, the design of the land is very impressive and immersive.
When the 1st Trailer for The Sonic The Hedgehog movie came out a lot of people didn't like Sonic's design. The release date of the movie use to be November 8th 2019 but because of the old design's terrible look, the release date was changed to February 14th 2020 for redesign. In November, they finally released the 2nd Trailer with the new design which looked much more better than the old one. I can't wait for the movie to come in to theaters and I hope you go see it to.
At the end of every year, YouTube posts a video similar to Spotify's "Wrapped". They post a "rewind" of the whole year which contains memorable moments that happened on YouTube throughout the year. Last years rewind (2018) was a huge flop in that it was the most disliked video on the entire platform. This year, YouTube took the feedback from the 2018 rewind and tried to redeem themselves from last year. What they ended up doing is giving the viewers a knock-off Watch Mojo video with a top 10 list for every genre YouTube has to offer. While it probably wasn't as cringy as last years, it was still a huge disappointment among the YouTube fan base.
The only reason you wouldn't know about the Mandalorian is if you have been sleeping under a rock. With the launch of Disney+ the new exclusive show, Star Wars The Mandalorian, has broken a number of records in just its first few episodes. The Mandalorian ranks as the most in demand digital series, dethroning stranger things as the most streamed show. Also helping Disney to achieve over 10 Million Disney+ Sign ups.
Spotify finally released the decade and year streaming results for all premium users and you probably have seen at least a few people already sharing their Spotify "Wrapped 2019" on their instagram or snapchat stories showing off their music journey and what all they've been listening to throughout the years. Spotify also share with the user the amount of hours spent on the app listening to music or podcasts, which I found interesting to see how high the number has become over the years of my own use of Spotify. Overall Spotify has come up with, what I think, an interesting and useful concept for the music community.
Yee Chong (also known as Silverfox) is an artist from Malaysia who's known for her realistic pieces of plush-like animals and other cartoon animals (such as Litten from Pokemon, the 3rd image listed below). The Mandalorian is the current hit show for Disney's streaming program, Disney+. As of the time of this post, 4 out of 8 episodes are currently available to view. Sadly, I have only seen the first three episodes. These first three episodes are some the best Star Wars content the fans have seen in a long time. The show follows a lone bounty hunter after the events of Return of the Jedi. It presents new characters, environments, and lore to further expand the Star Wars universe. This show is a must watch for any Star Wars fan. With the success of The Mandalorian and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order , Disney might be able to save their reputation with the franchise.
