3D Animations - Mikael Gustafsson

So, while on Pinterest, I stumbled across this animator/3d modeler/game designer, named Mikael Gustafsson, who creates simple yet beautiful 3D animations and is even working on an iOS game. I love how he makes such simple animations, usually with the camera moving and/or one character moving, but also makes them pretty and cool to look at. His animations are very atmospheric, I feel, as each animation and place he creates has its own personality of sorts, and each animation has its own color palette that he used to create these worlds.

Here are a few of his animations:

You can find more of his stuff here: https://dribbble.com/mikaelgustafsson
His Instagram page is this: https://www.instagram.com/mklgustafsson/
He also has a twitter! https://twitter.com/mklgustafsson

Hope you all enjoy looking at his stuff like I do!

  1. I love the style and color of these animations! They definitely send of a interesting and serene vibe with the subtle movements and colors. They also remind me of video games.

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Bye For Now DMA

Well since I'm a senior, then this is probably going to be my last blog post. Next year, I am going to do the Digital Design program at the Warren County Career Center for college credit, so I'm still going to do some DMA stuff after graduation. It's been very cool to be making cool stuff here and I'll miss you guys and I know your going to miss me and my dog Max.
