Book Cover Designs

I have been looking for inspiration for book cover designs and stumbled upon some that are renditions based off of old famous books. These three in particular I love because they use modern techniques to portray a timeless theme in each book. I especially love the use of colors, texture, and graphic look of the Pride and Prejudice book cover. These are called "reimagined" book covers and the creativity in these definitely helps me with inspiration for my cover designs. You can find the rest of them here

  1. Every single book cover is so unique and very abstract. It makes me want to look at each one a little longer to see all of the different textures and shapes.

  2. These are really cool and I love the textures in them! The macbeth one kind of reminds me of a Henri Matisse paper cut that was collaged with a couple other things! They are super unique for book covers!

Last Blog Post

This is my last blog post for my senior year, so I'd like to say that I am so glad I took DMA classes throughout high school. I've learned so much and I wouldn't be where I am today without my experiences in the classes. I will be attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming fall and I couldn't be more excited. I'm thinking about majoring and working in the film industry, however, I will be pursuing all and any forms of art in the future as well. From a fellow artist: take the opportunities that you are given and work hard doing what you love. Speed Painting

This a painting made in Photoshop by a guy who goes by the name " The Concept Painter " on Youtube. He does lots of Photoshop speed painting videos and also air brush videos. This particular painting took him 3.5 hours to complete and was made using a drawing tablet similar to the ones we use in our class.

Another Comic Book Artist (Woo!): Annie Wu

If you have talked to me for more than one minute, I am a huge nerd. So, I am making another post about comic book artists. This time it's Annie Wu. She's a comic book artists who lives in Chicago, and is one of my inspiration artists for my sustained investigation. A lot of her work is dramatic with deep and dark lines with bold colors which is makes style perfect for where I first found her work. I first saw her work in the Black Canary book in 2017. Eventually, I will talk about Marvel comic book artists, but not today. If you want to check out more of her work, here is her website:  https://www.anniewuart.com/
