Awesome Illustrator Artwork

So I searched the tag "Adobe Illustrator" on tumblr and found a TON of awesome inspiration. There was cool typography, as well as pieces like this. I love how much detail was put into this, and also the colors used.

Help Needed over Winter Break...

Hey!! Who all out there is interested in doing something outside of school that deals with DMA???? Well I am... And I was just offered the perfect opportunity to do so! Jerod Allen, who graduated from KHS last year and is now studying film/editing at CCM, just began a project that deals with rotoscoping. The project is going to be a film that is based off of the poem called St. Mark's. And r otoscoping  is an animation technique in which animators trace over footage, frame by frame, for use in live-action and animated films. Here's the poem: file://localhost/Users/khs-wlevan/Downloads/Saint%20Marks.mp3 Heres a link to a quick tutorial on rotoscoping ☟ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-je9qQUcW8&feature=youtu.be AND HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES: SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON:    ONE OVER THE OTHER: If you have any questions please talk to either Stew LeVan or Mrs. Shields.

Dead Hole Street art

The dead is rising form the ground for REVENGE

Merry Christmas

Here, friends: a flash animation with a classic audio overlay of children unwrapping a Nintendo 64 for Christmas! I thoroughly enjoy how audio files can be taken out of context and applied to a hilarious concept!

Typographic Portraits

I found this photo and it's using typography which is what were just starting to learn in  dma. I think it's so amazing how many words the artist used, and that they made it a person who I'm pretty sure is Emma Watson.

Sketchbook

This is really great sketchbook inspiration I have constantly been going back to so I thought I would share it. The pictures below are the sketch book of an artist named Alison Worman. She focuses on fiber and book arts with her art and graduated from MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art). To see more of her work click  here

Adobe Portraits

This is a portrait of Jennifer Aniston done through Adobe Illustrator. I like how detailed the hair is in this picture. I only hope to create something as good as this in my self portait that we are working on in DMA 1 right now.

Illustration

This is a really interesting illustration, I like how they almost didn't finish it. I really also like how they did the reflection in the sunglasses.

Need Suggestion

Which one appeals to you?

Resogun

Resogun for the PS4 has very intensive flashy visuals that are quite stunning
The weather this week is unusual. Especially in December? What are your thoughts?

illustrator portait

i found this portrait, and it has a lot to do with what we are doing with our illustrator portraits. i think this is very well done

Light graffiti monster

I really like this light graffiti. The creativity of it just seems endless. Never ceases to amaze me.

Pokémon Vector

Since we're working with vectors in class this week, I figured I'd share this vector image of my favorite Pokémon, Umbreon. (Unfortunately, this picture is in .png format so it has been converted to a raster image. However, you may be able to download the original file by clicking on the picture.)

Graphics then and now

So, while I was on thanksgiving break, I bought a nintendo 64. I was just sitting around and playing some super smash bros., and I just thought "wow, what a long way video games have come." Years ago when technology was low on the n64, compared to now with the Wii U, there is a huge difference. The graphics are incredible these days compared to the art of generations ago. I think we are getting really close to making video games seem like real life. Here are some examples of graphic comparison  SSB N64 SSB Wii U

Political Cartoons

To be a Political Cartoonest you have to be creative. I thought this was a unique way to look/talk about forclosures.

The Last Door

The Last Door is an independent episodic point-and-click horror/mystery game. It's fueled by donations, releasing each chapter to people who've donated first, but as of now it is free to play. The game itself is pixel based, and gives the player an experience through ambient noises and music, challenging puzzles, as well as an enthralling story line. The story draws inspiration from authors like H.P. Lovecraft, and Edgar Allan Poe, while still maintaining a very original feel. The game is browser based, and can be found  here . (you need to sign up to play, this is so they can keep track of people who've donated) I highly recommend you try this game, and, if you like, it maybe even support it. If you decide not to try the game, you should at least listen to the  soundtrack , which is equally as impressive as the game, by itself.

taken by a rc controlled nikon amazing how this picture captured the curiosity of such beautifully dangerous killing machines love. it.

New concentration idea?

I'm currently experimenting with defacing my concentration. I think it looks cool, but we'll see what happens. Nothing is for certain.

Circuit bending

A little about Deadmau5

As you can see this is Deadmau5, if not one of my most favorite and respected Musicians. He wears a mouse head that he had created on a 3D program when he was younger. His LED mouse head that he wears during his sets is about 5000$ dollars.

Illustrator Dinosaur

Since DMA 1 is working on our Geishas, I found this picture that was made in Illustrator. I really like that it is an interesting image, but that you can still see thats its made of simple colors and shapes.

Awesome Composition

I'm in love with the composition of this photo. The mountains and coloring of the sky really compliment the landscape.

HAMGER! hamster + tiger = hamger!!!

I was just browsing reddit when i came across this great masterpiece of photoshop art!
I chose this photo because it is close to snowboarding season and Perfect North should be open by thanksgiving break, so snowboarding is all I can think about right now. This photo has a very cool edit as well.

Lights Night

These are some cool small town snow pictures. There is some really cool contrast and different lighting of what looks like an abandoned town.

Kurt Cobain illustrator illustration .

Starting when we get back from Thanksgiving break were starting the "imma illustrate a picture of someone I love & hope its fabulous" project & since Shields just crushed my dreams by telling me I had to do someone I knew, I obviously couldn't do Kurt Cobain & if you know me in anyway you'd know Kurt Cobain is my spirit animal, so, I looked up cool illustrations of him & I saw this. I like it because you can tell his emotion and how tired he looks in the eyes by the wrinkles they created also, I love they added his fly aways and the way they did his scuffle . Yeah ok bye.

My Newest Concentration

I am doing my concentration on the effects of light exposures on the human figure. This is my newest piece from last week featuring the one and only Tyler McCall.

I really like this picture, it was taken behind the visitors student section and then I inverted it.

illustrator

I can't wait till i do something complicated as this in illustrator.  theres nothing better  then being able to do it because it would feel awesome to finish something this good
I really liked this picture because it looks like logan is walking through a tunnel of trees, it was taken with the lens baby.

Kaleidoscope

This kaleidoscope is very complex, but it keeps the symmetry. Also it rotates around a center point. The colors all compliment each other and it's very interesting to look at.

Kaleidoscope

I chose this piece of artwork because we are working on kaleidoscopes, and I think that this picture is really cool! I think this because it has a lot of different colors, and it looks like it is 3d. It amazes me the amount of time and effort that someone is willing to put in to one piece of work. Overall I think this picture gets a 5/5, what do you think?

Mello Yello Can Redesign

I was browsing reddit the other day and found this redesign of the mello can. I have no idea why this person decided to do this but i thought it was interesting so here it is.
I picked this picture because this was done with illustrator, and thats what were just starting to do in dma. I really like this picture and how the girl is made with text and that type of texture.

Leaves

Leaves are pretty cool! I was looking at different leaf pictures and found this.

Creative and funny t-shirt designs that were created and drawn by Nacho Diaz Arjona

Cool Underwater Photography

This picture is from an underwater photoshoot. It's kind of hard to tell at first but the subtle things give it away.

This girl was created by a computer

Ipad Air

What do you think of the Ipad air?

Under Water Photography
